Terms of Service

These terms are the contract between you and oneUP Engineering AB, company no. 559081-4207, Redegatan 1 b, 426 77 Västra Frölunda, Sweden (“we”, “the company”) when you use the Budgeteero mobile app and the API it calls (the “service”).

Contact: support@budgeteero.com.

If this English text conflicts with the Swedish version, the Swedish version prevails.

1. The service

Budgeteero is a personal planning tool for household finances. You can enter income, expenses, categories, recurring items and savings goals. The app may show totals, forecasts and rule-based observations based on the data you enter.

The service is currently free. We may later offer optional paid features. If we do, payment will go through the Apple App Store and/or Google Play (their terms and refund rules apply to the purchase).

The service is aimed at consumers in the EU and EEA. It is not intended for children.

2. Who may use the service

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. Creating an account confirms that. An account is personal. You are responsible for your login details and for activity on your account.

3. Your content

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, so far as you can reasonably tell. We do not fetch your bank data and we do not guarantee that totals match real accounts.

You must not use the service to:

4. Not financial advice

Budgeteero is an information and planning tool. Totals, forecasts and “smart insights” are rule-based maths on your own data. They are not personal financial, investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. They do not use an AI model. Future outcomes are not guaranteed. You make your own financial decisions and should consult a qualified adviser where needed.

5. Availability

We aim to keep the service running but we do not promise a specific uptime. Maintenance, faults, internet issues or force majeure may make it unavailable. We may change, limit or discontinue features.

6. Intellectual property

The app, the Budgeteero name and our materials belong to oneUP Engineering AB or its licensors. You keep the rights to data you enter. You grant us the licence needed to store and display that data in the service for you.

7. Termination and deletion

You may delete your account in the app at any time (password confirmation is required). We then delete your rows in the live database. Backup copies may remain for up to about seven days. We may suspend or delete an account for breach, abuse, or if we shut down the service.

8. Liability

The service is provided as is. We are not liable for financial decisions you make using the app, or for data loss caused by you not deleting or exporting data in time, beyond what mandatory Swedish consumer law requires.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including intent or gross negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is published at legal.budgeteero.com. Material changes require you to accept the new version to keep using the service. We store which version you accepted and when.

10. Law and disputes

Swedish law applies. Mandatory consumer rules in your EEA country of residence apply if they give you stronger protection. Disputes are heard by Swedish courts unless mandatory law says otherwise. As a consumer you may use the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) or the EU online dispute resolution platform where applicable.

11. Personal data

How we process personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. That notice is information, not a separate consent to all processing.
